New microsite launched to celebrate 100 years of Ulster Farmers' Union

Green17 Creative has worked with Ulster Farmers' Union for several years, and recently was asked to develop a digital hub to house all of its centenary activity, as well as historical information about the local organisation from its small beginnings in 1918 to present day.

There were various benefits to designing a microsite for this mini-project, rather than integrating the information into UFU's existing website. Firstly, the advanced possibilities in terms of website design allowed more space for creativity, rather than staying within the confines of existing page templates and corporate branding which runs through the primary website. Microsites also have their own homepage to attractively promote all key information, and this new sub-domain (centenary.ufuni.org) can be promoted through offline channels to direct customers to specific and contained information regarding the various centenary activities at UFU. Finally, as the centenary microsite is self-contained it can be preserved after 2018 as a separate entity to celebrate the various activities that happened across this important year, without detracting from the dynamics of the main Ulster Farmers' Union website, which is regularly updated with topical issues, events and latest news.

Ulster Farmers' Union has coincided the launch of its new microsite with the release of its 2018 charity calendar, proceeds of which will go towards its charity partner, Air Ambulance Northern Ireland

You can order a 2018 UFU calendar and support Air Ambulance NI here.
