We were pleased to host a morning workshop to our clients at InterTradeIreland to encourage digitisation within the organisation, and to explain a selection of digital tools which staff could be using to help maximise the organisation's reach and engagement, as well as internal productivity. The workshop was hosted by Adrian Wilson (Creative Director) and Kathy Michael (Studio Manager) and focused on three key areas:

  • What digitisation means and who it affects
  • Digitisation to benefit internal communications
  • Digitisation to benefit external communications

There were a number of group exercises to encourage participation and group discussion on how these tools could be applied within each department, and the organisation as a whole. This helped to raise important issues, and current processes which could be improved through digital technology in terms of reducing duplication or work, or repetitive administrative tasks. The groups all participated well and responded very positively to the opportunities that digital technology can bring to improve their service delivery, particularly in the area of using more video throughout each service.

Feedback from the workshop has indicated that it was a very useful session for staff and has helped to bring forward several strong ideas for digitisation within InterTradeIreland. The event was held in The Canal Court Hotel in Newry with tea/coffee and refreshments available before the workshop, and lunch afterwards for all staff.
