Digital DNA & Meet The Buyer 2016

Digital DNA & Meet The Buyer 2016

Wednesday was a busy day for the Green17 team, with two of Belfast's biggest networking events happening in the city - InterTradeIreland's Meet the Buyer event and Digital DNA.

We kicked off our morning in the Ramada Plaza Belfast with InterTradeIreland where we were given the opportunity to speak to public sector buyers at their stands finding out about their procurement processes, what they typically look for from suppliers and finding out about any upcoming opportunities open to us. There were also a number of workshops providing great advice from InterTradeIreland's tendering experts about the best ways to prepare and submit tenders to win public sector contracts.

We've worked closely with InterTradeIreland's tendering supports which have helped us to win several large contracts so find their advice is always valuable to keep improving our tendering skills.

Next we headed off to St. George's Market for probably the biggest event on our marketing calendar, Digital DNA.

We found the event really informative, with lots of influential speakers and workshops throughout the day giving useful advice and tips on the best ways to embrace technology in business and engage with your target audience in the most effective ways. Particularly interesting was Maria McNabb from Google EMEA who spoke about the importance of segmenting and profiling your audience, and Andy Hill from Dokoo Digital who shared some great tips for businesses wanting to get the best results from their Facebook Advertising without overspending on large budgets.

Both events drew in large crowds and were managed excellently throughout the day for delegates, showcasing Belfast and Northern Ireland as a forward-thinking and technology-driven business destination. Looking forward to seeing what's on offer next year!
